Copa
The leather boot from 1979 that never left the shelf
adidas released the Copa Mundial in 1979, ahead of the 1982 World Cup in Spain, in soft kangaroo leather with a plain, classic silhouette built for comfort and touch. It is still in production today, and its name is the root of the modern Copa control line. The Copa Pure revived that leather-touch identity in synthetic form — and, per PR #30's finding, the Copa Pure 4 (2026) is reported to be the last of the Pure line before adidas brings the Adipure name back for 2027.
